David will present two illustrated lectures – Gardens in Art and Food in Art.

Gardens in Art, starting at 11am, is an illustrated lecture that delves into the way gardens, as works of art themselves, have been depicted by artists over the centuries.

At 2pm, Food in Art will explore the way artists have portrayed food in paintings, mosaics and sculptures that have decorated dining rooms, stimulated the appetite and celebrated food from Roman times to the present.

Each lecture costs $5.00 and bookings are essential.

However, as the Gallery is celebrating National Seniors Week, the first five places in each talk will be free to Senior Citizens.

Please contact the Tweed Regional Gallery on (02) 6670 2790 to secure your booking.
