Welcome the New Year with fireworks at Tweed Heads

Jack Evans Boat Harbour at Tweed Heads is the place to be this New Year’s Eve, with Council hosting a fireworks display at the family-friendly time of 9pm (NSW time).

Twin Towns will also be presenting its countdown to midnight fireworks display at Jack Evans Boat Harbour at midnight (NSW time).

Meanwhile, Tweed Heads, Kingscliff and Murwillumbah are looking festive in the lead-up to Christmas, with new Christmas displays throughout the main business districts.

This follows the loss of the towns’ Christmas trees in the March 2017 flood, when the sheds where they were stored were flooded.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from Tweed Shire Council to all residents and visitors to the Tweed.

Council offices at Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads will be closed over the Christmas and New Year period from Monday 24 December 2018 to Tuesday 1 January 2019.

The offices will reopen again at 8.30am on Wednesday 2 January 2019.

For Council emergencies only during this time please call 1800 818 326.
